Exciting...
Just succeeded to share video output in both directions between two softwares... using Syphon. Very cool. (Open Source revolutionaries... thank you!)
I tested with Isadora and Quartz Composer using the templates provided by Syphon. Just follw the weblink above and read all the read me's and pdf instructions.
In the screen capture below the video file is playing inside Isadora software but rendering output from Quartz Composer software. It can also output from Isadora simultaneously.
Today I also set it up in the opposite direction. And then sent it back again immediately... etc and it maintained frame rates of 50-60fps. Incredible!
Next step however, is to implement this with a standalone software for drawing shapes, into Isadora, collaborating with the wonderful Rob Scharein.
